Turner Construction Pilots and Selects Orion as
GPS Service Provider
PENNSYLVANIA

After a several month pilot program,
Turner Industries of Baton Rouge, LA, has selected the Orion
Security / Safety Alert partnership as their GPS services
provider. For Loomis, Orion technology will assist with the
management of their fuel trucks, cranes, and transport
vehicles. Through the Safety Alert decal program, Turner
Industries will continue to monitor the safe driving habits of
their employees.
Since pilot services commenced in early
2008, Turner Industries has generated significant benefits
from the Orion GPS Fleet Management Program. For the Turner
Industries Peterbilt transport vehicles, Orion services have
demonstrated a fuel saving of $289 per month per vehicle. With
the supported integration between the Orion and Safety Alert
monitoring systems, Turner-Industries has also been able to
utilize the Orion GPS data to verify the accuracy and severity
of driver monitoring calls.
